If it hadn’t been for COVID 19, the painting below would have been exhibited this August in the Torch Theatre Gallery, Milford Haven.

It is part of a Tryptic using mixed media, which includes acrylic paint, bandages, raffia, string etc as I like to use various textures in my paintings. I have a background in fabric & textures  having studied Fashion & Textiles in Winchester & Gloucestershire Colleges of Art.

My aim is to achieve a three-dimensional view of the river, the riverbank & woods along the River Cleddau that flows past our house in Llangwm, at different times of the year.

I also admire the paintings of Georgia O’Keefe & Elizabeth Blackadder and I enjoy capturing the variety of flowers in our garden and the surrounding hedgerows throughout the seasons.
This painting measures 80cms X60cms
